Estepona is a town, whos inhabitants increased withing the last few years to approx. 60.000 and offers various special events.

The first event we would like to inform about, is the festival of "the day of the foreign resident" to honour all those people who had dicided to make this paradise their homeland.

On the other hand, here are two festivals, which are celebrated year after year. In May, the honorary celebrations of San Isidro Labrador and in July the Feria (festival) and Fiestas Mayores de Estepona. Both have a high attendance of local people as well as visitors to this region. The festivities are located in town as well as in the ferial area.

Regarding arts and culture, there are regular exhibitions in some of the four museums, please check the exhibition calendar for further information. Two important annual events are the Spanish Film Festival held in May and the weel of the Sci-Fi and Terror Film festival held in Ocotober, hosting important personalities of the scene like Alex de la Iglesia, Manolo Escobar, Paul Naschy, Marujita Díaz, Carmen Sevilla, Juan José Ballesta, Juan Luis Galiardo, Dario Argento, Steven Seagal and many more actors, directors and people connected with the cinema, who attended either one of the festivals.
