Estepona is situated in the south of Spain, on the Costa del Sol, between the towns of Manilva and Marbella. There are plenty of different means to reach Estepona, whether it be by car, train, boat or plane. By car
Estepona is at 70km from the Malaga town, 20km from Marbella and some from Manilva and to be reached via the National Road N340. If you go by bus from Malaga, you must take the Portilla bus company. The bus companies from madrid is Daibus and Sevilla is Los Amarillos.
By train
The train station RENFE is at 70km from Estepona with express trains arriving from Madrid and other towns of the country. Another important train station is in Algeciras, which is approx. 60km from Estepona.
By plane
There are two possible arrival suggestions: if you come from Great Britain, you could arrive in Gibraltar airport (45km from Estepona). The most common destination is the international airport Pablo Ruiz Picasso in Malaga at 70km from Estepona.
By boat
Estepona has a great Sports harbour, prepared to handle boats and yachts and many more different embarcations. At 60km from Estepona is the town Algeciras with its big port which has amongs others, a good connection to Ceuta and Tangiers in Morocco. |
